Maria works with film editing, having a comprehensive view of the process.
Understanding what is subtle for her was an important factor in this project.
In her view, her way of editing things comes from her cultural background,
which enables her to grasp the subtle elements of storytelling.
Additionally, whenever possible, she uses analog and artistic means to create
in editing. I sought to represent this argument with a manual collage made with
her photos and digitally manipulated afterward.
Another source of inspiration was the lettering in the films Agnès Varda, which,
being manual and in cursive fonts, engage with the manual and reflect in the
letter “M” of the brand.
Maria trabalha com edição de filmes, tendo um olhar integral sobre o processo.
Entender o que é sutil para ela foi um fator importante nesse projeto. Na sua visão,
a sua maneira de editar as coisas vem de toda a sua bagagem cultural que a faz
entender o que são os elementos sutis ao se contar uma história.
Além disso, sempre que possível ela utiliza meios analógicos e artísticos para criar em
uma edição. Eu busquei representar este argumento com uma colagem manual feita
com fotos dela e manipulada digitalmente depois.
Outra fonte de inspiração foram os letterings dos filmes da cineasta Agnès Varda, que
por serem manuais e em fontes cursivas, dialogam com o manual e reflete na letra M
da marca.
